The pail is pre-drilled with precise holes and comes with 10 lbs of Stak'D Mineral. This setup is known to last up to 1 full year in the Spring/Summer rains. The rain simply runs down the tree throughout the year, constantly replenishing the mineral. All you need to do is top it up when the pail is empty.

The sweet smell that we add to Stak'D Mineral will bring them in from a long way away as the wind blows by its location.

The ideal time to be putting out the Mineral Fountain is the spring of the year. As deer move from their wintering grounds to settle in for the summer. This is the time to keep them on the property. In Southern Ontario, we like to do this as soon as the snow is melting. March through April is a perfect time to get it out after that long drawn out winter.

As the summer progresses and the mineral liquefies you can top it up. No more than ¾ full or it won’t drain properly.

If it doesn’t rain for a long time, adding no more than a 500ml bottle of water will start the mineral flowing again. The Rack Stacker Guy always takes a bottle of water in, just in case.
