C$54.99
Availability: Out of stock

DIVERSE SEED MIX, GREAT FOR ATTRACTING AND HOLDING DEER ALL-YEAR AROUND. CONTAINING ALFALFA, BIRDS FOOT TREFOIL, FIVE TYPES OF CLOVER, KALE, RAPE, AND TWO TYPES OF TURNIPS - THERE WILL NOT BE A DEER THAT CAN RESIST IT.

PLANTING TIMES:

Spring - Mid April thru May. (If you are receiving good rainfall for your area, you may plant into June) Fall - August thru Mid September. Spring planting will allow the Brassicas to produce as much tonnage of food as possible. Fall planting will attract and hold deer on your property through the Canadian winter months.

5 lbs. covers approx. 22,000 sq. ft. or a half acre (150’ x 150’)

MAINTENANCE:

Superb-uck is a 67% perennial mix. We do not recommend mowing until the second year. The annuals in the mix create cover for the perennials to establish their root systems.
The second year, the perennial plants will take over the entire plot and will need to be mowed monthly, thereafter. Over seeding with Amplified will not hurt. This planting will last up to 5-6 years.

TIPS:

There must be a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight for this mix to produce its full potential. Watch the weather. If there will be a rainfall within 2-3 days, broadcast your seed. If it looks hot and dry, you are best to wait for better conditions.

• Conduct soil test to evaluate soil condition where you would like to plant. Note: Visit our website for Soil Test locations in your area.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Use a herbicide to rid the soil of existing weeds and plants.

  • Using a disk or cultivator, turn your soil 2-4 inches deep.

  • Use a drag to level the ground after discing.

  • Roll your seed into the soil after broadcasting. Note: It is important to realize that you

will need seed to soil contact. However, burying your seed too deep will kill the seed.

DO NOT disc seed under the soil.
• Its good to put 300lbs of 18-18-18 fertilizer to the acre and what we like to do is split

that up to two different applications. 150lb, 2-3 weeks after seeding and 150lbs approx 6-8 weeks after seeding. Do this to enhance the growth of the plot.
